Creditors Rights & Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will be drafting basic title documents, lien releases, and conveyance documents. Ability to work with title companies; possessing a strong understanding of title reports, exception documents, and encumbrance reports. Ability to work with Chapter 11 bankruptcy schedules. Formatting, drafting, proofreading, and editing documents, reports, pleadings, filings and all correspondence from the draft stage to providing a document to the client or the court. Conducting legal research on bankruptcy-related issues. Maintaining and updating client records using online case management system. Ability to manage all legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment with competing demands. Ability to produce high quality written work product and demonstrate strong communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to perform large volumes of work with minimal supervision. Ability to meet assigned deadlines and to report case progress/status/issues to attorneys. Ability to efficiently manage a large caseload, including the coordination of multiple cases, tracking the status of filings and documents needed for filings, and monitoring case status. Ability to be flexible and show initiative regarding assignments for self and team. Consistent and punctual attendance. Other duties as assigned. The candidate should have Non-judicial foreclosure experience in Oregon and Washington; Idaho experience is a plus. Strong familiarity with bankruptcy rules, procedures, processes, and forms is required. Must have experience with ECF filing in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. Experience filing in both Oregon and Washington courts is required; Idaho is desired. Computer skills and knowledge of litigation management software, e.g. Summation, Digital WarRoom, Relativity, Excel, and other spreadsheet programs, etc. desirable. Proficiency with MS Office is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. ABA Paralegal Certification or commensurate experience is required. Must have 3 years of paralegal experience.
