Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant The candidate will be opening and maintaining files and organizing litigation documents. Editing and finalizing documents. Filing documents with State and Federal courts and governmental entities. Assisting with deposition, mediation and trial preparation. Managing calendar for all critical dates and deadlines Scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations and trials. General administrative duties, such as answering phones and managing the attorneys schedules. Must be an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant well versed in the litigation process, 5+ years of experience in a law firm, with experience in litigation and/or employment law firm is a plus. Typing 70 words plus per minute with attention to grammar and accuracy, with excellent proofreading skills. Must be familiar with state and federal rules and procedures. Must possess very strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be highly detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task, ability to prioritize work for multiple attorneys, handle a fast-paced environment and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision. Should have strong software skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams).
