Immigration Paralegal The candidate will draft legal documents for review by attorney. Will perform some legal research as needed. Filing, scanning, copying, and other miscellaneous activities that require a well skilled multi-tasker. Paralegal certificate, associates, or bachelors degree preferred. Should have 3+ years of Experience in immigration law. Must have experience with the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions with government agencies. Should have experience with Removal/deportation Defense, Asylum, U Visas and Family based petitions, DACA, Permanent Residencies, Naturalization and Consular Processing, Cancellation of Removal, FOIA's, Bond Packets, Asylum Applications, Adjustment of Status Forms, Motions. Must be able to manage complex tasks efficiently; prioritize work load in extremely time-sensitive field of law; meet strict deadlines; be extremely detail oriented and have the ability to edit carefully; provide outstanding service to the families we serve; be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced changing environment; organized; self-motivated with strong initiative; have a positive attitude; have a professional demeanor in appearance and manner. Should have knowledge of immigration law (family and deportation defense), ability to handle calls, and follow direction from attorneys. Knowledge of criminal law a plus. Must be bilingual in Spanish. Should have excellent communication skills-Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office, Word, Excel. Must have writing and Internet Research Skills-Organized with attention to detail-Sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations.
