Immigration Paralegal The candidate admits new clients by reviewing records and applications. Establishes processes by setting reminders, file assignment. Monitors cases. Maintains clients records by reviewing case notes; logging events, and making sure progress is up to date. Conducts weekly interdisciplinary meetings and evaluations; disseminating results and obstacles. Improves staff competence by providing educational resources; balancing work requirements with learning opportunities. Improves results evaluating and re-designing processes; implementing changes. Improves results by monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. Handles various immigration law cases such as DACA, TPS, EAD, SIJS, probate and family court, asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, and U visas. Experience in the field of immigration is required. Experience in the field of SIJS, probate, and family court, is strongly preferred. Spanish skills are required.
