Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will handle case preparation from beginning to end, maintaining and monitoring court deadlines for assigned cases and take ownership of case calendars. You ll often prepare drafts of notices, motions, fee applications and proofs of claims, including organization of exhibits; perform online PACER research; prepare deposition notices; organize, maintain and prepare deposition materials, exhibits and summaries; remain current in industry trends in Bankruptcy/Restructuring and the legal profession; participate in case strategy meetings; ensure expertise in technology relevant to the position; proactively use most current technology to further teamwork, client service, and efficiency; electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system under the supervision of an attorney; and handle routine calls and correspondence to creditors, outside attorneys, and clients. BA/BS required. Paralegal certificate a plus. Mid-size to large law firm experience highly desired. Appreciated software experience: Vision, Westlaw, Dunn & Bradstreet, and review platforms, including Relativity, I-Pro, and Eclipse. Bankruptcy software used are required. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)are required. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
