Employment Law Paralegal We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our Employment Law department in our Tampa, FL office. This role will work closely with a lead attorney and Litigation Paralegal, and will come with competitive pay and a great working environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for the following areas. Responsibilities Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Interface with Administrative Agencies, including EEOC. E-file court documents in federal and state court. Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Draft and serve summons. Coordinate depositions. Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits. Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court. Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts. Requirements Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred) At least 4+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred). General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices.
