Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will manage calendars, organize and schedule external and internal meetings, teleconferences, networking events, etc. Will read, research, review, verify and route correspondence, reports and legal documents; draft letters and documents. Open, maintain and close client files. Organize and maintain filing and retrieval systems. Enter time for timekeepers, assist with monthly client billing, and prepare and track expense reports. Document production for a variety of legal and business documents. Phone and correspondence support, including extensive client contact. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 or newer (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), document management systems, and attorney time entry software. Should have strong production skills with ability to produce accurate work product when transcribing tapes, formatting documents, inputting data, editing, copying, scanning and transmitting text, data and graphics. Background in business, corporate, or other transactional legal work, including experience supporting in-house legal counsel, are encouraged. Should have 2+ years of successful administrative support working as a legal administrative assistant or legal secretary in a law firm. Must be technology proficient (advanced Word, Excel and Outlook) with strong attention to detail and the ability to turn work around in an efficient manner with minimal errors. Should have experience maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings/travel, strong communication skills and the ability to manage workload with a proactive approach balancing the needs of all assigned attorneys.
