This position comes with competitive pay and a generous bonus plan. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our class action department in our Tampa, FL office. As a Litigation Paralegal you will work closely with a talented attorney in providing litigation support. Responsibilities Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices E-file court documents in federal and state court. Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Draft and server summons. Coordinate and summarize depositions. Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits. Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court. Aid attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts. Requirements Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred) At least 4+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred). General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court (we will teach you about class actions) Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices. Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
