Immigration Paralegal Responsibilities: Conduct high-level review of packages completed by law clerks, prior to their submission to the main attorney for final review. Prepare and file applications with USCIS, including family-based petitions, adjustment of status, VAWA petitions, I-751 petitions, U visa, provisional waivers, and naturalization. Prepare and file applications with the Immigration Court, as needed. Submit supplemental evidence filings with EOIR in advance of Individual/Merits Hearings. Assist in responding to immigration inquiries in a timely manner and adhere to submission deadlines. Proactively communicating with clients to answer questions and provide status updates. Conduct research, as needed. Maintain hard copy files and documents as required to support all immigration activity on behalf of clients. Apply basic understanding of legal and ethical principles that guide paralegal conduct, including the unauthorized practice of law; confidentiality and attorney-client privilege; and conflicts of interest. Qualifications: 1-2 years of immigrations experience. Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese and English). Familiarity with the Immigration Court and USCIS procedures. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well under pressure. Be reliable, a team player, and detail-oriented. Have strong writing, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
