Litigation Attorney The candidate will work primarily on a series of cases against the federal government involving wage and hour disputes. In addition to the wage and hour cases, the candidate may handle other claims on behalf of unions and employees involving employee discipline, employment discrimination, or a variety of other claims. Responsible for handling all aspects of the preparations leading up to arbitration as well as the hearings themselves. Work directly with clients and other attorneys in the firm often in a team environment. Involves travel throughout the United States. Should have 3+ years of litigation experience. Should have litigation experience and be motivated and possess the ability to work well as part of a team but also be energetic self-starters with initiative. Must have strong research and writing skills, the ability to communicate effectively with clients, a creative approach to litigation, a commitment to social justice, and an interest in representing employees and unions. Relevant prior work experience includes litigation, trial/arbitration experience, or prior involvement with a labor or public interest organization.
