Immigration Paralegal Duties: The candidate will be goal-oriented, enjoy working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to handle a wide variety of tasks, including preparing notices of filings, preparing immigration forms and packets, and drafting cover letters. Should feel comfortable interacting with the managing attorney and sharing input about a case. Initiating client relationships, creating client welcome packages, conducting client consultations, documenting meeting notes, and gathering evidence. Opening and organizing case files and client documents. Assisting attorneys with the preparation of immigration petitions and applications including but not limited to asylum, cancellation of removal, and bond cases. Monitor the status of all filed applications and petitions, providing status updates to clients and attorneys. Preparing Notice of Filings for Immigration Court. Qualifications: The candidate should have 1+ years of experience in an Immigration Law firm. Associate's degree or certificate in paralegal studies. Fluent in English and Spanish. Proficient in macintosh and GSuite (Calendar, Voice, Mail, Documents). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Strong project management and organizational skills. Strong analytical skills, technical aptitude, critical thinking, and customer service skills. Familiarity in managing a heavy caseload of immigration matters in various stages. Knowledgeable of Immigration Court procedures (filing requirements, proper service, tabbing, etc.). Experienced in filing forms I-589, I-765, EOIR-42B, and I-918 and handling cases related to asylum, cancellation of removal, and bond. Proficient in additional platforms including PDF Expert and Clio.
