Immigration Paralegal The candidate will assist with H-1B, L-1, and other non-immigrant petitions, as well as labor certification applications, immigrant petitions, and permanent residence applications. Draft correspondence and organize client documentation. Perform intake of cases, troubleshooting, and establishing case strategy. Analyze case documents and prepare immigration petitions and applications for filing with the appropriate government agency. Draft support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification and other immigration benefits. Review and approve client billing under the supervision of a partner or attorney. Prioritize and assign cases, monitor workload, and production. Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems. Run reports as needed. Work closely in a team environment and provide updates while building knowledge of Firm and client processes. Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications. Assist in the hiring and training of new team members. Identify ways to improve team productivity and office-wide projects.
The candidates should have a four-year degree or Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or a paralegal certificate or paralegal certificate, strong writing and communication skills, practical critical-thinking skills, and the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with 2+ years of experience as a paralegal in a business immigration practice; PERM experience; strong proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Zoom, and a document management system; great communication skills (verbal and written); a collaborative team player able to work well with others; outstanding case/project management; self-motivated; and understanding of project and process management.
