Employment Attorney The candidate will have experience with class action litigation and employment litigation; other general litigation experience is a plus. Will gain valuable experience and further their career with a strong, established firm in the Area. Will be responsible for managing the company s employment litigation in a manner that is cost-effective, strategic, and consistent with the organization s focus on legal compliance, risk mitigation, employee experience, and client relationships. Perform routine litigation tasks such as legal research, writing briefs/motions, interviewing witnesses, conducting investigations, drafting/responding to discovery, taking/defending depositions, mediating, negotiating, conducting arbitrations and trials as a first or second chair. Handle administrative charges, agency investigations/audits, and attorney demand letters as needed. Formulate effective and efficient resolution strategies to meet business objectives. Proactively develop and drive employment litigation strategy. Collaborate with company stakeholders in connection with litigation-related risk mitigation strategy and remediation. Manage litigation and disputes, negotiate resolutions to conflicts and prepare settlement agreements. Represent the company and its affiliates or employees with litigation issues and/or in a court of law. Advise on investigations and respond to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment-related inquiries. Other duties as required based on business and legal needs. Qualifications: 6+ years of general litigation experience. 3+ years of experience in Employment Law (Plaintiffs or Defense). 2+ years of Experience with oversight of outside counsel preferred. Must have completed at least 2 trails (1st or 2nd chair). Ability to be fully engaged in the business and to communicate at all levels. Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and state and federal litigation procedures. Interpersonal, Organizational, and Time management skills of the highest caliber. Excellent analytical, research, verbal and written communication skills. Possess a demonstrated history of excellence.
