Litigation Paralegal (Entry-Level) Responsibilities: Carefully shepherding cases from the start through the conclusion of litigation, including accurately monitoring case progression. Maintaining professional relationships and regular contact with clients that we genuinely care about to keep them updated on case status, developments, upcoming case events, etc.; Carefully tracking and docketing court and other deadlines; Working cooperatively with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case, including taking the initiative to regularly update attorneys on status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs (as well as facilitating solutions); Developing expertise in state and federal court procedure and rules; Meticulously tracking, managing, organizing, and analyzing discovery produced from multiple sources; Proactively anticipating potential discovery and investigative needs in our cases; Working closely with clients to thoughtfully prepare drafts of thorough discovery requests (and responses to discovery requests); Drafting, formatting, filing, and serving pleadings, motions, and briefs; Constructively collaborating with other members of our team in an affirming and effective way; Striving to proactively anticipate (and meet) attorneys needs in preparing for depositions, hearings and trials; Preparing for trial (including compiling trial materials, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, managing exhibits, etc.); Working closely with attorneys in the firm to obtain and incorporate feedback on work performance; Completing all assignments in a timely fashion and seeking clarification as necessary; Cheerfully assisting with other projects and duties as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from accredited university. Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfortable with learning new technology. Be flexible and capable of responding quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities. Able to work under strict deadlines, effectively manage multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately. Deliver high quality work product, a habit of following up and following through, taking ownership of responsibilities and being accountable. Be a true team-player, focused on obtaining excellent results for our clients, and willing to do what it takes to advance clients interests in a fast-paced environment. Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information.
