Bilingual Immigration Paralegal The candidate will responsible for the preparation and filing of family based petitions, U visa, VAWA and other cases with interviews abroad. In addition, the paralegal compiles and analyzes case facts, drafts correspondence, maintains and organizes client documentation. Some cases require affidavits thar are developed during phone conversations with our clients that help us to compile information that will be drafted in English. The paralegal will also maintain direct contact with multiple members of the team and/or clients. We only handle and small percentage of Immigration Court cases. Copy petitions/applications., Scan documents and save it in the right files. Keep files up to the firm's organization standards. Docketwise immigration software input. Review client's documents. Case meetings with attorney. Gather information regarding potential clients for marketing purposes. Bachelor's degree from a four-year US/abroad college or university, or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program. Immigration experience not a MUST but preferably: Basic knowledge and understanding of the immigration processes and procedures, the different types of visas and rules for each, not a MUST but preferable. Strong attention to detail. An ability to prioritize a heavy caseload in a fast-paced environment and work with minimal supervision. Ability to learn quickly, willingness to take ownership, and exceptional writing skills are essential. Critical thinking and problem-solving. Superb organizational skills, ability to proofread, and write. Strong proficiency with MS Word, Acrobat Pro, Outlook, INS Zoom, and a document management system. Patience and excellent customer service skills
