Litigation Paralegal Duties: Continual review and management of case files. Obtain necessary authorizations for medical records. Identify healthcare providers from whom to obtain pertinent records. Collect, organize,'s afeguard and electronically's tore medical records and imaging whilst maintaining inventory log of's ame. Prepare initial discovery, i.e., interrogatories, request for production, request for admissions. Vet and engage with's ubject matter experts. E-File in both's tate and Federal Court's ystems. Obtain medical literature. Journal deadlines for responses and monitor for timeliness. Prepare draft responses to discovery, including document productions and corresponding privilege logs. Prepare legal documents's uch as briefs and pleadings. Prepare case and medical chronologies, agreements, deposition's ummaries/abstracts and trial and/or mediation binders for use by attorneys. Investigate facts as requested by attorneys. Ensure proper indexing and filing of original legal documents. Prepare trial exhibits.'s chedule and prepare expert and lay witnesses for trial. Attend trial as necessary Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is preferred; Additionally, five (5) or more years defense litigation is required. Only applicants with this experience will be considered. Experience with trial preparation and participation/attendance, including organization of witness materials and preparation of physical and electronic exhibits; experience with exhibit manipulation's oftware's uch as's anction/Trial Director/TrialPad, Relativity and PowerPoint. Knowledge in a variety of areas including complex litigation, personal injury, products liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice and general liability. Working knowledge of internet, Excel and Microsoft Word's oftware. E-Filing experience in both's tate and Federal Court's ystems. Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for's pelling and grammar; varies writing's tyle to meet needs. Listens and's eeks clarification; responds well to questions. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information's killfully. Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.'s ynthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data. Takes independent actions and calculated risks; asks for help when needed. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; commits to additional hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
