Supervising Paralegal - Business Immigration The Supervising Paralegal works under attorney supervision and is responsible for the quality of the teams work and ensuring deadlines are met. Supervise the casework for major corporate clients across a wide number of industries. Manage a growing legal team, including providing training and guidance and conducting regular performance reviews. Delegate, prioritize and review work flow of Assistant Paralegals. Serve as a team resource for client and office procedures. Effectively communicate with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues, identify client immigration solutions and understand current client activity. Analyze and record all client specific processes/procedures. Stay abreast of important developments in the law and issue spots with respect to future opportunities/issues. Understand existing fee agreements/billing practices. Make contact information changes in client database as needed. Participate in office-wide projects, including training, recruiting, process improvement, and participates in employee satisfaction initiatives. Other duties as assigned. The candidate should have BS or BA Degree. Must have 6-10 years of experience in a senior level capacity with an immigration law firm, department or corporate immigration function. 8+ years of business immigration law experience to provide leadership and support to the legal team, clients and internal staff. Experience corresponding with clients directly on case processing and other procedural matters. Experience handling high touch client base with poise and confidence. Experience managing multiple direct reports. Expert knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas and knowledge of client processes. Knowledge of case management and billing systems required. Ability to prioritize own work and team's work and take on multiple projects. Excellent attention to detail are must. Excellent organizational skills, including a strong facility with case management reporting analytics. Effective team management and communication skills essential. Strong written and oral communication skills.
