Litigation Paralegal Duties: Calendaring. Prepare pleadings and finalize for filing. Prepare responses to written discovery requests and subpoenas. Prepare case status reports. Maintain contact with clients on a regular basis. Case monitoring and management.
Qualifications: Paralegal certificate or post-secondary degree from an accredited institution that requires completion of 24+ units of legal courses. High school diploma mandatory, college degree preferred. 3+ years of paralegal experience working in civil litigation. Experience in lending and mortgage law, collections, and foreclosures. Knowledge of federal and California civil procedure. Knowledge of filing requirements in federal and state courts throughout California. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem solving skills and excellent attention to detail. Able to work independently while being a team player. Superior time management skills. Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Professional. Experience with mortgage servicer databases.
