Business Immigration Paralegal The candidate under attorney supervision, prepares and files various immigration petitions and related applications. Assists with training of more junior paralegals. Compiles and analyzes case facts, drafts correspondence, maintains and organizes client documentation. Maintains direct contact with multiple attorneys. Demonstrates proficiency with firm and client processes. Demonstrates proficiency with procedural and processing requirements for multiple types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications (H. L. TN, O, E, PERM, AOS, etc.). Independently analyzes case documents to consult with attorney. Prepares immigration applications for attorney review and filing with the appropriate government agency. Draft petitions, applications and specialized support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification and other immigration benefits. Analyzes and identifies legal and procedural issues. Adheres to deadlines and prioritizes cases with minimal oversight. Works closely in a team environment. Assists with training more junior staff. Performs package review, typically 1 week per month, 1 hour per day. May perform PERM review, typically 1 week per month, 1 hour per day. Assists with team or office wide projects (e.g. revision of template documents). Degree from accredited college or university and / or paralegal certification is required. Should have 2-5 years of immigration paralegal experience.
