Attorney; Labor and Employment Law The candidate will be responsible to Initiates legal actions in matters, such as, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, trade secret protection and agreements, employee handbooks, policies and procedures, privacy, employee agreements, as well as, providing detailed analyses regarding mass layoffs, mergers and acquisitions, compensation systems, leaves of absence, and employee benefit plans. Completes employment law case preparation by preparing legal briefs; developing strategies, arguments, and testimony. Resolves employment law cases by filing lawsuits; settling, mediating, or bringing cases to trial; planning, organizing, and presenting arguments and counter-arguments; engaging expert witnesses; preparing and presenting evidence; preparing and interrogating witnesses; presenting final arguments and summations to juries. Should have extensive experience researching and briefing legal issues and will be able to demonstrate writing excellence. Must have 1 to 3 years experience, with strong interest in defending clients in employment litigation matters. Must be licensed to pratice in Delaware or taking the Delaware Bar Exam in 2019.
