Medical Malpractice/Catastrophic Injury Nurse Paralegal Responsibilities: Conduct research (medical and legal) to support legal proceedings. Respond to new client inquiries. Assist with drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Record and store client information. Prepare discovery responses. Maintain client and expert relations. Trial preparations organizing and preparing trial exhibits, trial notebooks, and binders. Manage intake of prospective new clients for injury and medical malpractice matters. Request medical records and liens. Compose medical record summaries. Requirements: Medical Malpractice experience in a catastrophic legal practice (preferably on the plaintiff side) is a MUST. Registered Nurse experience is a MUST. Perform with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency while under pressure. Experience with TimeMatters software is a plus. Excellent Proofreading Skills. Use of Electronic filing system. Ability to Manage Time and Tasks Effectively. Ability to Maintain Strict Confidentiality.
