Type, revise and proofread general correspondence, memos, legal documents, and reports. Ensure accuracy and clarity of all work product in a timely manner. Prepare client billing as required/follow through on all client billing matters. Become familiar with court rules and filing procedures. Retrieve court decisions from Lexis. Prepare cover letters for attorney bills. Input billing information into billing software. Schedule conferences and depositions, maintain attorney calendars. Manage bills for third party vendors, process check requests and follow up with accounting. Must have 2+ of secretarial experience. Prior legal work experience is preferred. Prior experience with litigation procedures and processes, e-filing, and creating table of authorities a plus. Familiarity with State and Federal court procedures and rules is required.
