Immigration Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for working with paralegals, attorneys and other team members in the preparation, filing, and monitoring of high volume employment-based immigration law matters. Performs work under direct supervision of senior paralegals, paralegal managers and attorneys. Paralegal are relied upon to apply strong problem-solving, organization and judgement skills as they perform assigned tasks as they learn and grow into more independent work and progress in their career with the firm. Possess 2+ years of experience as an immigration paralegal. PERM experience is a plus. Demonstrate strong analytical skills required. Demonstrate excellent listening skills required. Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply aquired learning consistently required. Ability to take instruction and correction in a professional manner required. Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills with English-speaking clients including the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients that including C-Suite executives and nationally and internationally recognized authorities required. Possess empathy and compassion for clients, understanding the demands and pressures of their personal and professional immigration issues. Will answer client and staff questions with a firm understanding of the ethical rules for communications from a non-attorney to clients/prospective clients. Be proficient, or possess the ability to easily become proficient, in various technology utilized by the firm from our case management system, to productivity applications such Microsoft Office and ClickUp, demonstrating enthusiasm and initiative to acquire new technological skills quickly. Process a high volume of cases and works on cases of increasing complexity ensuring a high-quality work product while meeting deadlines. Communicate effectively and proactively information people need to know to do their jobs so they can produce accurate work and make decisions based on all available facts. Assist with the development of training for staff and clients. Bachelor s Degree required. 2+ years of corporate immigration experience required.
