Immigration Paralegal Responsibilities: Analyze case issues and prepare applications for filing Perform legal research, write legal briefs, interview and prepare witness declarations. Maintain, prioritize, update, and oversee case file status and due dates. Keep clients up-to-date and informed of their case. Maintain and update the calendar. Translate documents from English to Spanish. Answer telephone calls to the office. Organize and prioritize caseload in an efficient manner. Occasionally work on a Saturday, scheduled in advance with a client.
Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate in the related field is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in the immigration legal field. Experience in filing requirements with USCIS, EOIR, and NVC case management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and case management software. Read, write and communicate effectively in English and Spanish. Client-centered, friendly, and professional interaction with clients and coworkers.
