Litigation Insurance Defense Paralegal Job, a national law firm, is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Litigation Insurance Defense Paralegal to join the team in San Jose. This position requires a high degree of interaction with firm partners, associates and staff, as well as clients, and offers a competitive salary of $65,000 to $80,000. Job Overview The ideal Litigation Insurance Defense Paralegal candidate will have a good judgment and impeccable professionalism, take the initiative, have strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and have impeccable communication skills. The job duties include but are not limited to: * Be well versed in both federal and state court procedure and filing requirements, to include E-Filing in federal court * Research proficient, pre-trial prep, and trial assistance experience * Experience handling multiple attorneys with full caseloads * Coordinate heavy scheduling and calendaring for attorney meetings, court deadlines, depositions, etc. * Heavy client contact, contact with witnesses and opposing counsel to obtain information pertinent to the case matter * Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, disclosures, and discovery requests while under close supervision * Document production and organization * Organize records, documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable format * Follow the ethical requirements as set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct of the State * Demonstrate a strong worth ethic and consistent schedule * Experience with document management system Requirements To qualify for this position, applicants must have 2+ years experience as a Litigation Paralegal, Insurance Defense Experience, the ability to work overtime, and a Paralegal Certificate. Candidates must also be located in California. Compensation and Benefits offers a great working environment, competitive compensation of $65,000 to $80,000, and full benefits.
