Paralegal - Trusts and Estates Duties: Assist with drafting of necessary documentation relating to client needs, including initial and revised drafts of trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives and other documentation using forms and attorney direction. Act as liaison between attorney and client, facilitating communication and transmittal of the necessary information. Coordinate signatures for the execution of estate planning documents. Prepare asset transfer documentation and recommendations. Prepare documentation related to irrevocable trusts, including documentation to change trustees, apply for EINs, and provide instructions. Track and prepare annual irrevocable trust documentation. Maintain group forms for technical updates. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience in a legal setting. 2 years of trusts and estates experience, preferably in a law firm setting, financial institution or family office. Skill with interpersonal relationships and ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and outside contacts. Skill in organizing and prioritizing work according to timelines and the importance of tasks, and following assignments through to completion. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions.
