Real Estate Paralegal The candidate provides support to legal staff for all types of Real Estate practice group matters as well as ensures that all filings and other duties are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Drafts purchase agreements, leases, easements, loan documents, and related documents for commercial transactions. Assists in loan closing, acquisition and/or sale transactions, and prepares closing checklists. Reviews title and survey, and prepares summaries and memos in connection with such review. Drafts deeds, conveyance fee statements and affidavits. Drafts SNDAs and title affidavits. Prepares correspondence to clients and title comment letters. Directs communications with clients and other parties related to commercial real estate transactions. Researches secretary of state websites, recorder's office websites and prepares summaries and memos in connection with research. Performs lease and document review and analysis in connection with shopping centers and other commercial real estate holdings; prepares summaries and memos in connection with research. Orders title commitments and policies; reviews title and surveys. Coordinates with title companies, surveyors, environmental specialists, zoning specialists and other third party providers in connection with due diligence for commercial real estate transactions. Checks legal descriptions on Deed Plotter. Prepares initial drafts of retail, industrial, commercial and office leases. Drafts extensions, assignments, amendments, termination agreements, and other lease modifications. Manages status reports for real estate clients. Prepares schedules of exclusives and restrictions. Prepares exhibits to leases and lease modifications.
The candidate Should preferably have degree or certificate in paralegal studies. Must have 5+ years of paralegal experience. Previous real estate paralegal experience is required.
