Immigration Paralegal The candidate will update clients with the latest case information from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor (DOL). Assist immigration lawyers by investigating facts, gathering foreign documents, or researching legal precedent. Review and evaluate foreign clientele documentation in order to prepare USCIS packets and application forms that will be mailed to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Prepare cover letters, RFEs responses, affidavits, the first draft of memos, and other documents, such as legal correspondence. Maintain and organize the order of foreign documents and legal documents in paper or electronic filing system. Talk with foreign clients and other professionals to discuss case details and update on case progress. Interpret the meaning of information to clients. Update files with case status and information. Prepare Perm Certification processes for employment-Based Visas. Experience with Business Immigration (EBs, L1, E2, O, TN). Experience with Family-Based Immigration. Experience with Immigration Law Case Management Software (such as Docketwise). The English language is required. Portuguese language desired. Should have 1 year of experience. Should preferably have an associate degree. Should have 1-year Immigration Paralegal.
