Real Estate Paralegal The candidate coordinates and assists with due diligence for a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases and financings. Reviews, analyzes and summarizes title commitments, surveys and UCC, judgment, tax and other lien searches. Works closely with title companies to clear title objections and obtain title policies. Prepares and files a variety of legal documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements and amendments thereto. Coordinates obtaining permits and other documents from government agencies. Prepares and distributes closing checklists, closing instruction letters and closing binders and oversees real estate closings. Prepares and distributes lease abstracts. Conserves attorney time by (i) reading, researching, reviewing, and preparing correspondence and legal documents; (ii) collecting and analyzing information requested by firm attorneys; (iii) initiating telecommunications; and (iv) keeping attorneys and clients apprised of upcoming deadlines and critical dates. Anticipates changes in client transactions and attorney needs. Represents CGS3 by (i) communicating and obtaining information; (ii) following-up on delegated assignments; and (iii) knowing when to act and when to refer matters to an attorney. Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information STRICTLY confidential. Provides historical reference by (i) developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; (ii) recording meeting discussions; and (iii) maintaining document management system. Enhances department and firm reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Adheres to the directions of attorneys and timely completes all tasks. Manages other legal staff effectively and trains junior paralegals and other legal professionals. Attends business development functions and proactively seeks to expand client relationships. Meets minimum annual billable hour requirement and keeps abreast with changes in the law. Maintains a positive, upbeat attitude and handles work affairs with utmost professionalism. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills, Ability to Multitask, Strong Attention to Detail, Computer Proficiency, Ability to Work with Little Supervision and Seeks Help when Needed, Dependability and Professionalism required.
