Business Immigration Paralegal The candidate compiles and analyzes case facts, drafts correspondence, maintains and organizes client documentation. Maintains direct contact with multiple attorneys. Demonstrates proficiency with firm and client processes. Demonstrates proficiency in at least one case type (e.g. H-1B s, PERM, etc.). Analyzes case documents and prepare immigration petitions and applications for filing with the appropriate government agency (H. L. TN, O, E, PERM, AOS, etc.). Draft petitions, applications and specialized support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification and other immigration benefits. Learns procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications. Analyzes and identifies legal and procedural issues. Communicates with clients. Works closely in a team environment. Performs package review, typically 1 week per month, 1 hour per day. May perform PERM review, typically 1 week per month, 1 hour per day. Assists with team or office wide projects (e.g. revision of template documents).Degree from accredited college/university OR Paralegal certification and 0-2 years of prior immigration paralegal experience OR 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Paralegal or comparable experience is required.
