Paralegal - Patent Support Duties: Prepare Information Disclosure Statements (IDS). Prepare foreign reference submissions in countries with a duty to disclose. Track items disclosed for each assigned matter and all related cross-referenced matters, using spreadsheets and First-to-File database. Research all incoming new materials to determine if disclosure is required. Maintain personal calendar of deadlines related to all assigned matters. Develop expertise in area of IDS and reference management. Create family trees, status reports, and patent timelines as requested. Calculate patent term adjustments as requested. Conduct research and perform library and online searches. Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize assignments appropriately; determine and implement effective organizational and procedural methods, consistent with MoFo best practices. Comply with administrative requirement to meet billable expectations; prepare and release timenotes on a daily basis; prepare and submit timecards on a weekly basis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred 2-3 years relevant experience in patent prosecution preferred. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively. Strong focus on client service and meeting client needs. High level of attention to detail required. Ability to follow complex instructions with high degree of accuracy. Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects, and work effectively under pressure. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Proficiency with patent-related databases and resources, such as Inprotech, First-to-File, and USPTO.gov resources will be necessary, training will be provided as needed.
