Litigation Paralegal The candidate will attend initial meeting with client and conduct or supervise fact investigations. Organize and analyze file and prepare chronologies. Obtain factual information regarding products, companies, and individuals from various governmental agencies or other resources. Draft, file and serve summons, complaint, answer or other defensive pleadings. Assist in filing documents with the court. Identify and collect relevant discovery materials, interview client document custodians and oversee the progress of documents through litigation support departments and outside vendors. Draft discovery documents, prepare and analyze responses. Obtain, review and analyze medical and damage information. Calculate damages, organize and summarize information. Coordinate document reviews, develop databases, code documents and coordinate document production. Review, organize and index documents produced. Conduct privilege review, prepare privilege log and develop information retrieval systems. Associate's degree in related discipline is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should have 1-3 years of experience in similar field. Prior litigation, law firm or courtroom work experience or training is preferred. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program is required.
