Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will coordinate due diligence for a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including: purchases, sale closings and leases. Order and summarize title commitments and surveys. Work closely with title companies to clear title and obtain title policies. Order and summarize UCC, judgment, tax and other lien searches. Prepare and file a variety of documents, including: deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, bill of sale, affidavit of title, and transfer declarations. Coordinate and facilitate closings, including preparation of closing checklist and binders, coordination of closing calendar, and follow-up on post-closing matters. Organize and produce final document deliverables for clients, opposing counsel, and real estate attorneys. Assist with formations of LLCs partnerships, and other entities. Obtain good standing and existence certificates and similar material from Secretary of State or other appropriate government offices. Independently organize and manage files or delegate similar tasks to appropriate Records staff, Paralegal Assistants and/or legal support staff. Attend and participate in in-house CLEs. Meet annual billable hour target of 1500 hours. Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program preferred; significant, substantive related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Must have 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions. Proficiency with title and survey review required. Experience representing borrowers and developers preferred. Must have proficiency with MS Office Suite and document management software.
