Litigation Paralegal Liability Defense The candidate will be responsible for drafting of pleadings, discovery demands/responses, motions, subpoenas, settlement documents, etc. Process authorizations and compile medical records. Analyzing medical records, draft summaries and chronologies. Communicate with courts, clients, experts, opposing counsel, and counsel for co-defendants as needed. Manage and update case activity to assist attorneys with case monitoring and client reporting. Assist with prepping files for mediation, arbitration and trial. Prepare cases from inception to trial. Accurately record and maintain billable hours. Must have 2+ years experience, although exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered. Must be familiar with all aspects of liability and defense litigation. Experience in civil litigation and management of high-volume of cases required. Experience reviewing medical and technical records preferred. Legal research (Lexis, Westlaw) proficiency preferred. Knowledge of New York State Unified Court System and Federal E-Filing Procedures essential. Paralegal certificate; Associate Degree or higher is preferred. Closing Date: 30 June 2019.
