Employment Attorney The candidate will draft pleadings, motions/oppositions, discovery requests and responses, mediation briefs, and other routine litigation documents. Appear at court hearings and argue motions. Take and defend depositions. Participate in the formulation of litigation strategies and have primary day-to-day handling responsibility for a limited number of cases. Draft settlement documents including settlement agreements, class notices, and proposed orders and judgments. Must be licensed to practice law and be a member in good standing with the California State Bar or be awaiting admission to the California Bar; a team player, but be able to work independently on assigned tasks. Must have knowledge of state and federal court procedural rules; prior experience with class action wage and hour and PAGA litigation is a plus; ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines; proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook preferred; excellent professionalism and communication skills; strong attention to detail; strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
