Temporary Attorney - Insurance Coverage Litigation The candidate will handle litigation matters involving insurance coverage disputes, and represent client in both civil courts and in workers' compensation courts in NY and northern NJ. This position involves an estimated 50-80 hours per month, with flexible hours and the ability to work from home when not appearing in court. Work from home and in court, independently manage approximately 50 cases, involving insurance coverage disputes in both civil and workers compensation courts, from inception through trial. Perform research and case analysis. Prepare pleadings, discovery responses and objections. Develop strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases. Negotiate and settle cases. Attend court conferences and hearings. Take depositions, and perform all aspects of litigation. Team with other attorneys handling similar matters for the same client(s). Should have a J.D. degree with strong academic credentials. Must have 3+ years of civil litigation experience. Experience handling insurance coverage matters highly preferred. Workers' Compensation Court experience preferred. New York and New Jersey Bar admission is required. Must have transportation to get to and from courts.
