Real Estate Paralegal Responsibilities: Review title commitments, title documents and surveys to identify objections and for government compliance. Maintain due diligence of corporate and transactional documents. Organize documentation for financing and government review submissions. Draft real estate acquisition closing documents. Draft entity formation documents, such as articles of incorporation, and articles of organization, bylaws and operating agreements. Draft consent resolutions. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients in order to ensure the expeditious gathering of facts and information. Interact directly with Title Agent and Surveyor to facilitate revisions of title and survey as part of due diligence in closing work. Organize and manage closing process. Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. File and document organization and maintenance; create new folders and maintain existing folders utilizing an automated records management system; organize files for off-site storage, as well as active file maintenance. Assemble closing binders. Daily client contact. Overtime will be required on occasion. Other duties/tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Must have working knowledge of the office/administrative procedures and an excellent command of the English language, both written and oral. Must have proficiency in operating a personal computer, telephone, voice mail and other office equipment. Must have working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including word-processing, spreadsheets and databases. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing and managing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work independently, and as a member of a team, with limited supervision. Paralegal Certificate preferred. Bachelor's Degree, a plus. Must have 8 years in the above skill areas preferred. Experience in the legal and/or real estate industries required. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe software programs.
