Trusts & Estates Paralegal Duties: Draft estate planning documents, advance directives, wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, probate petitions, waivers and consents, and prepare entity formation documents and operating agreements. Prepare and file probate forms; administer estates, including preparation of estate application, inventory of assets and annual/final accounting. Assist with preparing deeds and documents related to property transfers; preparing estate tax returns (IRS 706 & 709)and fiduciary accounting. Heavily involved in client contact and client case management. Enter time entries and expenses in the Firm's time-keeping and expense-tracking software on a daily basis. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree; ABA approved Paralegal Certificate is a plus. Notary is a plus. Knowledge of estate planning, estate litigation, and trust administration preferred. Ability to review and interpret wills and trust agreements, and handle a significant case management load. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong drafting skills; olid proofreading skills. Ability to track and meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Adaptable to ever changing priorities in a dynamicwork setting. Proactive, positive, energetic and hardworking team player. Possess a strong client service mentality. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally interact with attorneys, staff, and clients. Experience and proficiency in the use of technology to support Practice Group efforts. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly learn additional applications relevant to the practice group. PDF Docs, Elite, iManage experience is a plus. Exceptionally well organized, detail oriented and exercise strong practical problem-solving abilities using logic, creativity, collaboration and client service skills. Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently to drive projects from start to completion in a timely manner to meet client deadlines. Ability to maintain confidential information with the utmost professional discretion. Availability to work weekdays between 8:30am A"6:00pm, with overtime as needed.
