Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will be preparing and e-filing documents in state, federal and appellate courts. Assisting in the preparation, assembly, production and tracking of discovery requests and responses. Assisting in deposition and trial preparation. Transcription, drafting, editing and finalizing correspondence, pleadings and other documents. Managing administrative tasks for multiple attorneys (requesting conflict checks, setting up files, submitting expenses, billing, etc.). Scheduling meetings and depositions. Managing multiple calendars and docket due dates. General administrative assistant tasks such as, filing, processing mail, scanning, preparing court filings, phone etiquette, etc. Should have high school diploma or equivalent. Should have 5+ years of litigation legal secretary experience in a law firm setting. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Worldox and experience with time entry software such as SurePoint. Must have superior verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills. Must possess solid proofreading skills, accuracy and demonstrate attention to detail. Must have strong organizational and prioritizing skills. Must be self-disciplined and proactive by identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency. Must have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, meet tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-changing environment. Must be confidential and demonstrate sound judgment. Must possess professional integrity and project a professional image and have a friendly demeanor.
