Medical Malpractice Paralegal The candidate will maintain regular contact with clients providing client-centered mindfulness. Collaborate with clients and assigned attorney to answer discovery. Maintain and manage attorney calendars and case deadlines. Manage contact between Daniel Stark and third-party attorneys. Schedule crucial litigation milestones including mediations, depositions and trial. Manage and maintain a case load of 40-60 cases with A rating from clients, assigned attorney, and leadership. Prepare legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer. Contribute to trial preparation and provide behind-the-scenes support in the courtroom during trial. Perform e-filing and data entry. Must have 3+ years of experience in medical malpractice litigation in Texas. Extensive knowledge of Chapter 74 of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code is required. Must have sense of urgency. Must have ability to distinguish between urgent and important tasks. Strong attention to detail is a must. Must be naturally prone to making detailed, thorough and organized notes. Must have ability to navigate seamlessly through various computer programs and software. Tenacity and desire for continuous improvement is required.
