NIV Immigration Paralegal Duties: Accountable for handling comprehensive, high volume immigration case work by collecting data, preparing forms and other documentation, and assembling/filing non-immigrant petitions with USCIS. Correspond with human resources personnel, immigration attorneys, government entities, and others to manage a wide range of cases from start to finish. Maintain and monitor case management system containing current client and case information, notes on actions taken, and critical expiration dates. Stay abreast of developments in immigration law by regular review of news and bulletins.
Requirements: Bachelor degree or Paralegal Certificate. 1-5 years of recent full-time employment-based immigration experience. Hands-on experience administering, filing, and preparing non-immigrant petitions (H-1B, TN, O-1, L-1). Must be extremely detail oriented. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and other common business tools and applications such as Adobe Acrobat, document scanning, and INSZoom. Demonstrated ability to prepare fast, thorough, and detailed case filings. Ability to communicate clearly and unambiguously with all contacts, including foreign nationals. Ability to manage a high volume of cases at once, on an ongoing basis, in an extremely fast-paced environment, and with strict deadlines.
