Paralegal- Real Estate Duties: Guided by department objectives and priorities, under direct supervision provides general assistance to attorneys and paralegals within the practice group. Assignments may extend into other practice areas. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position. Develop and apply basic knowledge and procedures to complete assigned projects and tasks; develop proficiency in technology relevant to the position. Follow established procedures and clearly-defined instructions to complete assignments; develop skills in identifying resources to increase efficiency and ensure highest quality work product. Develop and apply organizational skills to prepare work product and ensure efficient workflow within and among teams and departments. Identify issues and consult with others to resolve problems. Identify resources to increase efficiency in preparing work product. Comply with administrative requirements to meet billable expectations; prepare and release timenotes on a daily basis; prepare and submit timecards on a weekly basis. Assist in all phases of real estate transactions from inception to closing. Assist with review and preparation of loan documents. Coordinate requests and filings with service companies. Review, prepare, and file UCC financing statements. Review due diligence and other property-related materials. Review and analyze title reports and surveys. Proofread and redline documents. Assist with pre-closing document organization and distribution. Attend transaction closing and assist with document organization, indexing and distribution of closing documents. Conduct research and perform library and online searches. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and strong academic record required. Teamwork and Applied Skills Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines under direct supervision. Strong sense of accountability and taking ownership over projects. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing work product. Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects; flexibility in shifting focus. Excellent writing and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
