Litigation Attorney Duties: Running own docket, handling multiple concurrent cases, managing deadlines, filing petitions, answering written discovery, taking depositions, attending hearings and mediation, and presenting cases before a jury. Qualifications: J.D. and Texas law license in good standing. 3+ years experience practicing personal injury law, plaintiff or defense, Comfortable managing caseload of 30+ litigation cases with minimal supervision, in addition to pre-litigation cases, Successfully first chaired 1+ jury trial, Ability to draft pleadings and respond to discovery requests, Adept at coordinating and managing the medical care of clients, Experienced in taking Party, Witness, and Expert depositions, Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, Good legal research skills, e-filing, comfortable using case management software. Must be able to prioritize cases while being detailed-oriented, and self-motivated. Has a passion for the law and taking excellent care of clients, Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive cases to resolution.
