Mid-Senior level Litigation Paralegal The Paralegal will be responsible for researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents to assist attorneys. Will research law, investigate facts, and independently prepare documents to assist attorneys with matters. Summarize complex legal documents. Organize and indexe case files, calendar deadlines. Perform wide variety of legal research and data compilation with little or no supervision. File pleadings with court clerk. Prepare reports, correspondence, declarations and complaints. Draft a variety of legal documents. Prepare affidavits or documents and maintains document file. Prepare for mediations and trials. Assist Attorneys at trial. Assist Attorney in preparation for depositions. Communicate with witnesses and experts. Enter billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner. The candidate must have 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a labor/employment litigation practice. Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university preferred. Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Lexis-Nexis and WestLaw, Live Note, Concordance, Case Map, Docketing, Document Management System, expense and billing systems.
