Litigation Assistant / Paralegal The candidate should have solid technical, administrative and litigation defense experience. Responsibilities: Answering discovery, interrogatories and request for production of documents. Maintaining and organizing case files. Managing the progression of cases from inception to final disposition. Preparing and processing correspondence, memoranda and complex legal documents. Scheduling depositions. Preparing Subpoenas and Non-Party Requests. Preparing medical chronologies. Deposition preparation notebooks. Other tasks as assigned. Should have excellent interpersonal skills. Should have 5+ years litigation experience, preferably Insurance Defense experience. Must be familiar with state and federal court rules, procedures and filing requirements, e-filing, and the day-to-day activities of a litigation practice. Experience with discovery, preparing for and scheduling depositions, preparing pleadings and discovery, preparing for hearings, trials, and arbitration/mediation, and obtaining and summarizing legal documents are a must. The candidate must possess excellent editing, proofreading, and grammar skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills and typing skills are required.
