Immigration Paralegal Responsibilities: Utilizes understanding procedure to prepare final visa status petitions with guidance from attorneys (simple and advanced). Performs legal research to analyze companies and employees qualifications for visa status petitions. Performs research to obtain information such as background on a company or industry, current wages, processing procedures, standard government processing times, etc. Supports paralegals and attorneys in email and phone communication. Executes case processing tasks as assigned. Manages status of all filed applications and petitions. Utilizes templates and prepared materials when completing documents for attorney review. Utilizes document and data management systems to prepare, monitor and record all aspects of client casework. Prepares internal caseload reports for workload. Initiates contact with government agencies to obtain necessary information; alerts clients and/or attorney regarding potential process delays/problems. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2 5 years' corporate immigration experience. Superb organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and take actions independently. Ability to manage cases and work within deadlines. Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written. Ability to proofread and edit ones own work product. Good general computer knowledge and typing skills, including word-processing and email. Professional, respectful attitude towards all coworkers and clients. Ability to receive and analyze information. Ability to share information with office members. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. MS Office, Scan/Copy.
