Immigration Attorney The candidate will work on Immigration Removal/Court related matters from start to finish including defensive asylum, removal proceedings, detention hearings, among other immigration court related matters. Work on family based immigration matters from start to finish with USCIS and the department of state. Work on waiver applications as well as humanitarian related cases such as VAWA, U Visas, T visas, and affirmative asylum. Experience with SIJC a plus. May be asked to assist with Federal litigation for employment based immigration cases. Provide excellent client service Conduct client consultation and intake. Develop and implement complex case strategies. Represent clients in court or before government agencies. Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients. Advise clients on immigration matters and keep them up to date of case development. Comply with all legal standards and regulations. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law. Work well independently as well as a team member. The candidate must have at least 2 years of solid experience working on removal, family and humanitarian immigration cases. Experience working with Immigration Court, litigation, waivers and asylum matters. Federal Court or State Court experience a plus. Must have the ability to adapt skillset to various adjudication settings. Second language fluency, especially Spanish is a plus. Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing. Must have client service attitude and be able to work well within a team setting as well as independently. Must have experience working with Family Immigration, waivers, humanitarian cases such as VAWA and T visas, as well as asylum matters. should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
