Real Estate Law Paralegal Candidate will focus on the regulatory compliance aspects of practice. Will work closely with, and be supported by, attorneys and other staff members in a team environment. Will be responsible for and work with others in: Conducting legal research of and monitoring state and Federal changes in mortgage lending laws. Conducting legal research of and monitoring rules, procedures, and directives from HUD, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC, and secondary market investors. Working with Technology Group to revise and add loan documentation as necessary to maintain the compliance of forms library and nationwide document preparation software. Creating and testing mortgage loan document packages to ensure ongoing compliance. Maintaining a forms library to ensure compliance with state laws, Federal laws, and investor requirements. Responding to compliance questions from employees and clients. Prioritize assignments and schedule workload to meet critical deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college (a certificate from a paralegal school is a plus). Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Reasonably prompt access to a reliable internet connection away from the office. Preferred Skills / Experience: Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe. Familiarity with Westlaw. Must be a team player with a good work ethic and a positive attitude. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail is critical.
