Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for providing assistance to attorneys specializing in commercial litigation. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, discovery, and correspondence; assisting attorneys with deposition preparation and other discovery requests, preparing for client meetings, document productions, depositions, hearings and trials; preparing summaries of depositions, documents and other records; organizing exhibits. Additional duties include routine handling of correspondence; and maintaining case management system to ensure all deadlines are met for assigned cases. Will prefer candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years litigation paralegal experience from within a law firm setting, including trial experience. Should have experience with litigation support database programs and computer-assisted legal research databases, in addition to the following: possess the ability to work as part of a team with attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries and/or to work independently with little supervision; hold strong interpersonal communication skills; have the ability to follow through on multiple projects while continuing to be detail oriented; and be flexible to work overtime and under the pressure of deadlines as necessary. Limited travel is possible.
