Toxic Tort Litigation Paralegal Candidate will assist and provide a wide range of legal support to the supervising attorney(s); therefore, they will enhance the attorney's effectiveness. Will include: Maintaining files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, communicating with clients and other parties involve in the cases etc. Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations and articles. Organize and maintain documents in the physical file and in the firm's document Management software. Gather, maintain current and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation. Write reports to help attorneys prepare for trial. Obtain affidavits and other formal documents/statements that may be used as evidence in court. Assist lawyers during trials by handlings exhibits, taking notes or reviewing trial transcripts. File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents (after lawyer has reviewed and approved) with the court or opposing council. Reach out to clients, witnesses, lawyers and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, or depositions.
